Environment Setup

Please run the 'module load ansys' command to initialize your environment for ANSYS. For more information about modules, please see this page.

Useful ANSYS Commands

Command Function
ansys Starts ANSYS in command line mode
ansys -g Starts the ANSYS Utility Menu
anshelp110 Starts the ANSYS online documentation.
launcher110 Starts the ANSYS Launcher GUI

Recommended ANSYS Memory Settings for Interactive Use

Workspace Memory (-m option) 150 MB
Database Size (-db option) 50 MB

ANSYS 11.0 online documentation is available only via the anshelp110 commands or by clicking on the "Product Help" button in the ANSYS launcher GUI.

Batch mode help

The instructions for using ANSYS in batch mode are available in the manual pages. The manual pages for ANSYS can be accessed after setting up your ANSYS environment by typing the following command:

 man ansys
