The dplace Program

• dplace - shell level tool for Data Placement:

  • declare number of threads to use
  • declare number of memories to use
  • specify the topology of the memories
  • specify the distribution of threads on to memories
  • specify the distribution of virtual addresses on to memories
  • specify text/data/stack page sizes
  • specify migration policy and threshold
  • dynamically migrate virtual address ranges between memories
  • dynamically move threads from one node to another
  • see man dplace(1)

• Note: dplace switches off the _DSM_… environment variables
