Intro to Supercomputing on the IBM p575 cluster

 

This short course provides an introduction to using the IBM p575 cluster p690 (hydra). It covers the following topics:

  • Basic architecture features
  • Compiling and running programs
  • Filesystems and user disk areas
  • Queue structure and batch processing
  • Acceptable use policy

Note: During class sessions many aspects of the material will be illustrated live via a login to HYDRA. Attendees are welcome to follow these parts with their own laptops.
