Introduction to Supercomputing on Hydra
This short course provides an introduction to using the IBM p5-575 Cluster (hydra). It covers the following topics:
- Basic architecture features
- Compiling and running programs
- Filesystems and user disk areas
- Queue structure and batch processing
- Acceptable use policy
Note: During class sessions many aspects of the material will be illustrated live via a login to HYDRA. Attendees are welcome to follow these parts with their own laptops.
