k2.tamu.edu -- SGI Origin 3800

This is a 64-processor, 64GB distributed-shared-memory (DSM), system. Its architecture is based on a cache-coherent non-uniform memory access (CC-NUMA) design. All memory is physically distributed among 16 node cards, each consisting of four processors. But all memory is available as a single shared address space accessible by any processor. The system is also configured with 1200GBs of disk space. Except for two system drives, all drives on the system are attached to fibre channel (100 MB/s) RAID controllers.
