This year, November 16-20 in Austin Texas, as in the past eight
years, the Texas A&M Supercomputing Facility took part in the
SC08 Supercomputing Conference, a premier event in the HPC world.
We participated in a common floor exhibit with our partners, the
University of Houston and RICE University. We showcased, via
posters, large video displays, and booth presentations, highlights
of research our facility supported with its resources. The booth
presentations featured a talk by A&M professor of chemical
engineering, Tahir Cagin, on "HPC Applications in Biological and Nanostructured
Materials and Devices." Dr. Raffaele Montuoro, our analyst, also gave
a talk on "Benchmarking WRF on TACC's Ranger and A&M's p5 Cluster".
You can view the presentations in PDF by clicking, SC Kiosk Display and WRF Benchmarking Talk, respectively. We will post
all other relevant material as soon as it becomes available in
suitable format.
