TOPIC: FLUENT LICENSE EXPIRES ON NOVEMBER 9 2009

To whom it may concern:

The department of Mechanical Engineering, which has been managing
the funding for the FLUENT CFD software, has decided to terminate
the licensing of this software. The current license terminates on
November 9 of this year. A replacement package, STARCCM, is now
available.

Across some engineering departments there is interest to continue
the licensing of FLUENT. At this time faculty members from the Aerospace
Engineering department are exploring the possibility of teaming up
with other departments towards the funding of a license.
