Annual Users Meeting

Jack E. Brown Building Room 106
May 2, 9:30 - 1:30

Dear Supercomputing User:

The Supercomputing Facility invites its users and interested others to discuss scientific computation and high-performance computing at A&M. As 2013 is likely to bring significant developments in the activities and computational capacity of the facility, we’d like everyone to contribute to the discussion about our aims and objectives. Research highlights will be presented by some of our users, and, for convenience, most of the discussion will take place during the lunch break.

Presentation Schedule:

Time Speaker Topic
9:30 - 10:00 Spiros Vellas Fulfilling the Promise of HPC
10:05 - 10:35 Debjyoti Banerjee Nano-Devices for Enhanced Thermal Energy Storage, Cooling and Sensing
10:40 - 11:10 Ken Dykema Searching for a Badly Behaved Group Using Parallel Processing in Mathematica
11:15 - 11:45 Tahir Cagin Investigating the Potential of Materials for Energy Applications through Computation
11:50 - 12:20 Sherry Yennello Simulating Heavy-Ion Collisions to Study the Nuclear Equation-of-State

Lunch will be served 12:25-1:30 concurrent with free-format discussion about HPC on campus and the Facility's aims and objectives.

Please RSVP (help@sc.tamu.edu) if you plan to attend.
