*** HYDRA's RETIREMENT: JUNE 17 2013 ***

Dear Hydra Users:

As we have announced several times in the recent past, Hydra is due for withdrawal from service this year. In May it will have completed 7 years operating in full production.

The main reason for her retirement and removal on June 17 is not so much age (although that is a factor) as is the need to start required changes in the machine room infrastructure to accommodate the installation of a new HPC cluster.

Please plan to wind down your computing on HYDRA in view of the above date.

Sincerely,

Spiros Vellas
